Every great city with an ancient heritage has its story—and some dark secrets. Honolulu is no different. The ancient Hawaiians didn’t think much of what is now known as Honolulu and Honolulu Harbor. We have Top 10 lists for everything these days. Who makes these things up?
We’re a nation of Top 10s, Ratings, Surveys, and Lists. Why? I don’t know. There’s Letterman’s nightly Top 10 List, now in its second decade. We rank movies based on their gross ticket sales, not number of viewers. TV programs that don’t make the Top 40 get canceled. We always want to know what’s number one. Sort of. After all, we're living on a rock over here, right?
