This course is considered one of the world's most challenging golf courses.
KoolauIt’s more than possible that there’s a tougher golf course than the Ko’olau Golf Club on Oahu. It’s possible. It could happen. It’ll be on Jupiter. Maybe Neptune. Or Rigel 4. Perhaps Romulus. The Romulans look as if they’re up to a challenge. Not only is the Ko’olau Golf Club the most challenging—it may be the world’s most beautiful. read more »

On the road to Haleiwa-- where shave ice meets tourists and locals. Ummm. Good.
MatsumotoThe sun is melting your brow. It’s hot. It’s sweaty. Even the refreshing moment of a dip in the ocean disappear when you think of the effort required to get there (not to mention getting sand in your bathing suit). Only two words can save you from a sweltering summer… read more »

Instead of the movie, "Pearl Harbor," we'd have "Wai Momi." What a blast.

Here’s my view of the Top 4 Oahu destination web sites (with apologies to those sites that are better than these five but that I didn’t have time to click to). read more »

Oahu is the third largest island in Hawaii. First, the Big Island, then Maui.
Here’s the challenge. Circle the island of Oahu. Do it in one day. Make all the stops. How many stoplights? Well, that depends on how far off the beaten path you go. It could be just a handful. It could be 80. Or more. read more »

Sure, what's wrong with hoofing it over the nearest volcano? Nude? Nah.
You think you’ve seen it all? Waikiki is NOT indicative of paradise. To see Hawaii up close, you have to get up close. Face to face. Toe to toe. That’s what eco tours are all about. Face to face with natural Hawaii. read more »
